This photo was taken after a September snowstorm had blanketed the Teton Range in Wyoming, even while the aspens and cottonwoods were still sporting their brightest colors. I had camped near Jackson Lake. Before dawn I headed to one of the beaches to watch the first light hit these spectacular peaks, and I got a few images as my fingers turned numb. I am so grateful for our national parks, which have provided so many moments of beauty and wonder for me and millions of others.
