So many years I’ve spent at war with this body.
For what?
When all it does is work every single day to keep me alive and well?
It can be a daily practice to unlearn what society has told us is beautiful and desirable.
It’s been a journey to hold my heart, mind, energy, and soul to the same standard of importance as I always did my body.
There were years where this softness around my hips and thighs would’ve caused me to feel less than, stripping me of my self worth and confidence.

Today, I say, “look at that woman, her shell woven with equal parts soft and strong.” 🌙

The body may preceed your energy and intellect but it will never be your body that keeps people around— those worth having around anyways.
