今日の和菓子: 紋黄蝶(もんきいちょう)

今年も気づけば師走。
都内では外苑前の銀杏並木が黄色く染まる頃。黄色く色づいた銀杏の葉っぱは、まるで秋の空を舞う黄色い蝶のよう。
そんな銀杏にも蝶にも見える、ういろうの和菓子です。 🍁イベント情報🍁

コーヒーの一生を表現した3種の和菓子と、スペシャリティコーヒーを提供するCoffee Valleyさんがいれる和菓子に合うコーヒーのペアリングをお楽しみいただけます。

Today's Wagashi : Autumn Leaf Butterflies

In this season, leaves are turning red, orange and yellow in Tokyo. Especially, “Gingko (Icho)" leaves dancing in the air looks just like yellow butterflies. As Gingko is called “Icho” and Butterfly is called “Cho" in Japanese, it sounds like Gingko(Icho) is a tree of "Yellow Butterfly" (Kiro i cho). These confectionaries are inspired by such beautiful autumn leaves in Japan.
