Pop Smoke, the Brooklyn-raised rapper whose hits included “Welcome to the Party” and “Dior,” died after he was shot in a home invasion early Wednesday in Los Angeles, his record label said. He was 20. The child of Panamanian and Jamaican parents, Pop Smoke emerged last year as the first breakout star of Brooklyn’s growing drill scene. He collaborated with Travis Scott, Quavo and @ニッキー・ミナージュ, who appeared on a remix of “Welcome to the Party” and wrote on Instagram: “The Bible tells us that jealousy is as cruel as the grave.
