Consider the parallels of our current situation to a talk given by Wyn Craig Wade (author of “The Titanic”) back in the ‘70s: . “Here’s a colossal, brand new ship, the biggest and best, going full speed ahead into an ice field in spite of numerous warnings… . And when disaster strikes, there are not enough safeguards, the captain becomes paralyzed, and more lives are lost than necessary simply through a lack of preparedness and organization – utterly typical of the haste and arrogance of the 20th century.” . One of the best museums I’ve been to in general - one can spend a day here. . 1️⃣ The façade of Titanic Belfast was built to appear as the bow of the great ship herself. . 2️⃣ The Harland & Wolff dry dock where Titanic was built from 1909 - 1911. . 3️⃣ The very same dock today, visible from the museum. . 4️⃣ Captains Haste and Arrogance surveying the vast watery vista clearly unprepared for anything other than self-congratulations 😆. .
