And she did it alone.⁣ ⁣ I have trouble completing a transatlantic flight with a full crew, 200 other people, and four glasses of wine, so Amelia's a badass in my book.⁣ ⁣ Traveling solo can be really fun, but I'm not gonna spin - it can be really frustrating. Like in this picture where I had to:⁣ ⁣ 🗣Argue with a taxi driver who made me late to the bus station.⁣ ⁣ 🚍Argue with a bus driver who refused to sell me a bus ticket.⁣ ⁣ 🎫Stand in line for said ticket (with no companion to hold my place with the bus driver).⁣ ⁣ 🙏🏻Beg the ticket agent to sell me a ticket - who insisted I buy it from the bus driver.⁣ ⁣ 😡Run back to the bus only to have him close the door on my suitcase and drive off.⁣ ⁣ ⏱Wait another hour for the next bus.⁣ ⁣ But as always, you gotta make the best of it. It was a gorgeous day, I met other people on the bus bench that were equally baffled, and I wound up getting a ride from a local to my next destination. Win!⁣ ⁣ What else?⁣ You make friends for life in other countries by traveling solo. You sharpen your awareness and focus.⁣ You find out what you're made of it when you have no one but yourself to rely on.⁣ ⁣ And I think that's just as challenging as flying across the Atlantic by yourself 😎.⁣ ⁣ .🏆Big ups to Amelia and all solo female travelers.
