I actually don't care about other people's opinion, being bullied throughout my childhood for my fashion choices never made me change my style so a couple of troll opinions don't upset me at all. But what makes me mad is that people feel the need to ~try~ putting down/shaming/humiliating others. You'd think that women from my mother's generation would have some decency but it turns out they are just as insecure and ignorant as those little kids in school and their herd mentality. Fashion has always been a way to have fun and express myself, I grew up digging through my mum's closets and wearing the weirdest things. This look is basically 9yo Meryem living her fantasy but now with the recognition of major magazines, museums and luxury department stores (but thanks for the fashion advice Karen lol). Imagine me letting those dumb kids or these trolls get to me, tbh I feel sad for these people because that negativity says more about them than it says about me or my mum. The only reason I'm sharing this is because there's also a lot of young people following me and I hope that our work shows them that you don't need to fit in. Don't let naysayers change you. Don't let negative Nancy's dim your light. Don't let anyone stop you from being you. Whether it's real life bullies or internet trolls don't let these people stand in your way. No matter what always believe in yourself and stand up for yourself, whether it's with smart comebacks or straight up slapping someone in the face (try saying something about my mama irl and you will get hurt lol) Just live your life to the fullest because at the end you're gonna be so much happier if you choose yourself over other people's opinions ❤️」5月30日 3時35分
