The San Martin fringe-limbed treefrog is a critically endangered species endemic to the slopes of the San Martin Tuxtla volcano in Mexico. They belong to a group of frogs known as the New World Gliding Frogs, or fringe-limbed treefrogs, which are easily recognizable by their expanded toe-webbing on their hands and feet, used to glide from tree to tree. This species is also a relative of the Rabbs’ fringe-limbed treefrog, which is believed to be extinct since 2016. Join Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (PARC) and their partners to celebrate amphibians during Amphibian Week to learn why amphibians are in decline, actions addressing the crisis, and ways to become an Amphibian Ally. Get creative: join PARC’s live event to paint a portrait of the San Martin fringe-limbed treefrog! #AmphibianWeek #AmphibianAlly #AmphibianArt #PhotoArk #savetogether
