Today on my way home from my office at Shibuya station I came across a young African American boy from Minneapolis holding a makeshift sign ( like the one I’m holding ) it simply read “ black lives matter “ written in black magic marker. He was obviously in distress and told me he never felt so alone, I assured him he was not . In a region that has made countless millions off appropriation of black images ( Hip Hop for example ) your silence is deafening .. where are you voices where
Tell me where . You know who you are shame on you shame . Growing up in Brooklyn in the Fifties this brand of police brutality nothing new to me I witnessed it routinely . The difference is we now have cameras and let’s hope That IS the difference let’s hope.
