Hog badgers like this one @wrs.ig are found primarily throughout Southeast Asia, inhabiting a variety of landscapes. As you might have guessed, their most notable feature is their “pig-like snout” that is used for feeding, along with modified teeth specifically used to move soil. Once the badger detects the scent of potential prey, it uses its snout and teeth on its lower jaw to dig into the ground until food is successfully uncovered. The hog badger’s favorite food is earthworms, but they will also eat fruit, roots, and tubers. #hogbadger #snout #digger #teeth #burrow #PhotoArk #savetogether
