Today was a play in handmade watercolors and learning the personality of some relatively new paint brushes. The best way for me to truly find a rhythm with new tools is to just dive right in and start playing around with them before I watch any tutorial or glean from another’s perspective and skill. I like approaching new mediums unhindered with as much childlike curiosity as possible. Honing in and developing skill comes later. Wonder and awe come first. And what I have before me here is an immensely gratifying time of messing with new watercolors. I have much to learn with them but for now in this space I had great fun. . . . .
