Photo by Brendan Hoffman @hoffmanbrendan Buddhist pilgrims wearing masks against the sun and dust celebrate the milestone by taking selfies at the Drolma La, the highest point (5,630 meters, or nearly 18,500 feet) of the holy trek around Mount Kailash in western Tibet. Also known as Kangrinboqe, the peak is sacred to four religions. Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bönpo all make pilgrimages around its base, though the mountain itself has never been climbed. The kora is a circumambulation of the mountain, clockwise for all but Bönpo, on a path that covers 56 kilometers (35 miles).
