Right I’m watching the sun set from my window with all my senses enveloped in its summer golden magic and dusky nostalgia. This is my favorite time of day. I miss breathing it in outside. If I could I’d pack us all up and run away to the countryside, but for now I’m ever grateful for this window. It lets me experience the poetry of the sun kissing the moon in its dayglo symphony above the horizon. . How are you all doing? I feel a hodgepodge of many things. I feel peace. I feel flux & freeness & joy & tension & uprooting & rooting that comes from growth that looks like a caterpillar & a cocoon & a butterfly. I feel quiet in certain spaces. I feel loud in my journal pages. My preferences evolve. The golden sky has now turned into a cool pastel lavender pink blue grey. And it’s magical all the same. I think it’s incredible that we can feel a wealth of differing things all at once and be beautiful within it. . I made a journal recently. Specifically a @pegandawl leather journal design from their IGTV Bookbinding Tutorials. This version incorporates antique scraps that were precious gifts bestowed. I didn’t round out the spine well and the headband looks wonky and uneven but I’m not a bookbinder or journal maker. This is just for me. And I cherish its unkempt flaws. . Lately I’ve been in the same creative tools because I gravitate towards things that hold meaning and am drawn to brands that have heart and create an experience that impart a good feeling. How we treat one another speaks loudly through our businesses, which why I’m particular. .
