But dip nets are rapidly disappearing along the Mekong, as drought in the lower basin countries of Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, along with dams and climate change, depletes water flow. Once a way of life, fishing is no longer a sustainable occupation along many stretches of the Mekong.
