After we went to the beach, we decided to go to a local food truck for a snack. I was nervous. We haven’t been to restaurants at all, but when we got there, it was empty except for the few people working there, who were all in masks. This is totally fine, I thought. But then I wondered— is it empty because I am taking a bigger risk than most people? I keep doubting my choices and wondering what is the right thing to do, when more and more, I realize— it’s a personal decision. I mean, everyone should be wearing masks and following the CDC guidelines. But there’s a whole other spectrum of choices for your family, once you uphold the general rules for the public. As I mentioned a few days ago, I am having a lot of trouble figuring out if and how I want to reenter normal life, as more things open back up in New York. I’m weighing decisions about play dates, doctor appointments, returning to the city, and of course, SCHOOL. I wrote a post called “Someone Tell Me the Rules.” Link in bio.
