I am giving myself the gift of extra space in order to tend to the priorities dear to my heart, to nurture joy, to honor my limits, to make room for new wonders. This might entail saying no more so that I say yes to where my being and purpose align, it might mean letting go to make room for, or not tending to everything that vies for attention especially distractions that have no bearing or true purpose. I am reminding myself that making room for joy is essential, responsible, healthy, life-giving and beneficial. It sounds good in theory but to make room for it in the actual day to day in the face of work, schedules and routines, and the unexpected requires effort and conscious choice, and yet the more I allot for this, for joy, the better and fuller I am in everything else. . . .
