Through giving relief to those affected by war and conflict, supporting refugees, providing health and social care in peacetime, and helping people and communities hit by natural disasters, the British Red Cross has, for 150 years, shown just how powerful kindness can be.”

To mark their milestone 150th anniversary, @britishredcross have today launched an online exhibition, ‘150 voices. 150 years’. Inspired by communities across the UK, the exhibition showcases 150 objects from the charity’s museum and archives collection to celebrate those who have played an important part in the history of the British Red Cross.

Since 1870, the charity has been providing support to those in crisis, with the recent health pandemic being no different. Its volunteers have mobilised to respond to new concerns and worked tirelessly supporting those most in need.

The Prince has met many of the charity’s volunteers over the years in his role as President, which he has held since 2003. In his introduction to the online exhibition, HRH acknowledges how @ロイヤル・ファミリー has played its own part in supporting the work of the British Red Cross throughout its history.

Her Majesty The Queen has been Patron of the British Red Cross since 1956.
