Raminta grew up in a small Lithuanian town on the Baltic coast, surrounded by wild animals, insects and plants.⁣ ⁣ “Growing up in this environment, my admiration for the natural world increased every day,” says Raminta. “After finishing my studies, it finally evolved into my present artistic activity.”⁣ ⁣ Raminta makes tiny, polymer clay creatures, approximately one to two inches (2.5 to 5 cm) long from nose to tail. “The process of every animal character development is very individual and personal,” she explains. “Creation starts with a single ball of clay and usually takes days to complete the sculpture before it is carefully painted with maximum details, capturing essential attributes and traits of animal personality.”⁣ ⁣ “I am fascinated and interested the most in ocean animals, especially the ones who live in depths.
