The day was May 13, 2006 in Denver, Colorado where I was just 26yrs old competing at the Shawn Ray Pro/Am in my very first Professional contest. The nervousness and anxiety inside was very high as I had only competed in 5 amateur contests between 2003-05 and this being in my town of Denver, I knew I had to produce something special. Went against some very tough competition from “the king of the $10,000 shows” Darrem Charles, a masterful poser with a beautiful physique, David Henry whom I felt was one of the best giant killers of our sport, Kai Greene, whom at the time was, like me just getting into the pro ranks and many others.
