Photo by @francescolastrucci A fisherman’s boat floats in front of the iconic silhouette of Mount Vesuvius at sunrise in the Bay of Naples, Italy. I boarded one of these small fishing boats before daylight, hoping I would get a different perspective of the bay and the surrounding landmarks. The fishermen, departing from the Port of Mergellina on their way to the spot where they placed nets the night before, crossed the bay at the precise moment when the first rays of the sun made their appearance.
The warm gradient of the first daylight over the placid water made the environment almost ethereal.
