It felt like people everywhere would tell me what I could and should do. I was constantly told that I had too many interests, too many goals, too many dreams, too fat, too skinny, too this, too that... I was either too much or too little for people. Then, I realized that I was *allowing* that to happen. I was ALLOWING other people to dictate how I felt about myself. Well, that’s not a very productive use of anyone’s time... Life is too short for that. What others think of us is none of our business. It’s part of the difficult road - hard work, rejection, resilience, and everything in between. The destination - whatever that may be - is always worth it.
