It senses the subtle changes in vibrations within the water, feeling out the vast expanse of a world as mysterious to human beings as our own solar system. The ocean holds the origins of all life on Earth, and I have the deepest respect for the creatures that still patrol its briny depths. Sharks cover great distances in perfect solitude. Their evolution is so meticulously adapted to life beneath the surface, they have remained essentially the same for millions of years.
