Photo by @max.lowe / As often as sunsets happen, I am always caught off guard when I get to experience an especially remarkable one that singes itself into my memory. Our first night on the water during a two-week trip from Seattle, Washington, to Sitka, Alaska, was a combo of perfect atmospheric conditions and glowing last light. It turned the world orange and purple all over in a way I had never seen before.
