Here’s a short clip of me training with the awesome @nicrasenti in South Africa for the film. We would get up every morning at 4am, train for an hour and then I would get into the make up chair. Thank goodness my character already looked like she’d been through a war because I was always so sweaty by the time we would start! I got into the best shape of my life during this production. I already had two kids at that point, but man I turned myself into a boss. I was healthy, lean, strong, my diet was on point. My discipline was incredible and it gave me the confidence and edge to feel like I could take over the world! I worked hard and that is what made me feel like no one was more qualified than me at that point to make a movie like this. I earned it. And it kicked off a new set of habits for me and a new mind frame which made me realize that you can’t have confidence without putting the effort in. Now after baby #3, I gotta get back in that head space again.🙄I’m talking to you @theetiffmarie!
