Everything we had worked on for more than 6 months stopped, or as I put it was postponed. The feeling of uncertainty and anxiousness was palpable...by myself and my team. I had to have a perspective shift otherwise we would be lost. I explained to my team that we need to treat this time like we were going back to school and getting our masters, so that when the world opened back up (or we graduate) our skills would be sharpened, our processes improved, and our communications would be impeccable. By applying this new mindset we would naturally attract new opportunities when the time came. I can honestly say that I could not have been more right, and we are flooded with incredible opportunities that will pay off dividends in the near future.
