As luck would have it, whenever I would take a walk to the Kedarnath temple compound late in the night, I’d always find it empty, and then I’d sit for a while, staring at the temple, and the moonlight soaked Himalayas in the background.

These were the moments where I didn’t ask any questions, nor did I hear any answers, I would sit silently without holding anything in my heart, and these moments used to be like an afterthought, where everything was already said and heard, and now all we were left with was this silence, which felt louder than the voices around me.

I would just stare at the temple, and the Himalayas behind, while silently they’d stare back at me.

That’s it. Nothing magical or otherworldly. And yet at the core of moment’s simplicity, very much of those two.
