Last night, we had a Friendsgiving dinner with our bubble family. Today, we planned to fry a turkey for just the four of us, but we got lazy, drove to the house late, and ended up eating leftovers from the night before. We might fry the Turkey tomorrow instead. “If it’s just us, what’s really the difference?” I said to really more myself than anyone else. Mike’s family is doing a zoom dinner tomorrow night. My mother is planning an outdoor socially distanced gathering on Saturday. So today was kind of a non event. I wasn’t sad about it until I tried to find a pic to post. This is all I got. Harlow was the one who asked what we were all thankful for. Mike and I both said we were thankful that we got to spend this crazy time with our favorite people. Harlow said she was thankful for her family, that we had money for food and a place to live and that she was going to a new school that was helping her with her reading. (That last one got me.) MAZZY said she was thankful for tiktok, Bai juice and salt & vinegar chips. Oh and her family too 😂. Then we watched a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and went outside to look at Mars. At 9pm, when we blew past the kids’ bedtime, started another movie and made yet another bowl of popcorn, MAZZY said, “This is a GREAT Thanksgiving.” I guess it was. Even if it wasn’t exactly Instagram worthy.
