The other night, I was walking Frankie in the dark and stepped in a deep puddle by accident. Then I tripped forward and dragged her with me. Now, she has a pretty bad limp and I feel terrible. I took her to the vet and he said she has weak knees that are prone to injury. He put her on anti inflammatory medication and told us to try to keep her as inactive as possible for the next week. She’s obviously in pain, but still wagging her tail at every opportunity. And she is determined to follow us wherever we go, even though she can barely walk. So, we pick her up and sit her next to us, where she is happiest and least likely to move. She slept next to me on top of a pillow, in her classic Cinnabon position, for most of the day.
