This scene was surreal to witness, a bioluminescent 360-degree display that danced around me. Fireflies create their bioluminescence through a chemical reaction where oxygen, calcium, adenosine triphosphate, and luciferin are combined. What this video fails to show is the outrageous abundance of mosquitos that tormented me while shooting this. I paid a heavy blood tax, but it was worth it to witness this remarkable scene!
