Photo by @laurakmorton / Jessica and Chris Medina take a cruise to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, on December 6. It was the last day of cruises for the company before temporarily suspending business due to a new stay-at-home order in the area, a response to rising COVID-19 cases. Founded in 1892, the historic Red and White Fleet launches its tours from the Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood, the city’s main tourist destination. Supported by @InsideNatGeo’s Emergency Fund for Journalists I am currently working on a project on Fisherman’s Wharf to document the economic issues affecting communities that rely on tourism.
