I took a road trip up the Great Ocean Road to explore this area and absolutely fell in love with the scenery. From the lighthouse, jagged cliffs, amazing rock formations like Eagle Rock pictured here, to the incredibly dark skies; it is a photographer's dream day or night! I actually had to wait until the very last minute of the Milky Way core being visible to get this as the tide was way too high. By the time I was able to walk out there, I had about 45 minutes left of darkness to capture the Milky Way angled over the top, so I set up rather quickly and fired off a set of 9 images. Having my focus ring taped down to my lens' infinity (AF off) definitely saved some valuable time. This way I could just set up my composition and shoot rather quicky, which came in handy in this situation where time was of the essence.
