When choosing my daily mug, I usually stick to mugs that are from places of positive experiences. The grand prix final in Marseilles where I totally bombed? I don’t need that memory when starting my day! So I don’t often use my Sochi Olympics mug. It brings me back to a sad and disappointing event in my life. But today I decided to use it, as a reminder that I have survived 100% of “bad” experiences. In the moment, these events feel like they will last forever. After Sochi I felt as though I’d never get over falling at the Olympics. It felt like it would consume me forever. But I did get over it, I did move on. So cheers to all of you, moving on from a negative event or experience.
