This quote resonates so much with me because something seemingly unique to humans is the ability to live in the past. When I start slipping into this mindset, I give myself a hard reset, just like you would a frozen mobile phone and look forwards towards the future and all the opportunities that exist ahead. What I sometimes envy about lions and other animals is that they learn from past experiences but don’t dwell on them... well...sometimes!
This beautiful boy I photographed @rockfig_safari_lodge has what seems like a permanent injury on his hind leg, but that certainly hasn’t deterred him from making a go of the one chance he has at life.
