I am fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The world loves Paris because it is the nexus of culture, beauty and art. For many, a voyage to experience the magic of the place that I call home is the dream of a lifetime.
However, I didn't see my #Paris reflected in the narrative shown around the globe. I created Little Africa Paris to tell the stories of Afro-Paris-- its artists, its creators, its cuisine, and its music. WE ARE PARIS BEYOND THE POSTCARD.
To remedy our omission in the Parisian story, I published the 1st edition of the City Guide- Africa In Paris (@littleafricatravel). My labor of love was the first comprehensive guide (in French and English) of retail businesses, restaurants, cultural attractions and events by the African diasporas in Paris. In 2019, I published the 2nd edition which featured over 200 Afro-Parisian boutiques, restaurants, businesses, and artists. In 2021, we are expanding beyond Paris with a goal to share the stories of the diasporas across Europe via a web-based, books collection or TV series.
Due to history, there are « Little Africa » towns/neighborhoods all across the world. My dream is to be able to show them. @ネットフリックス if you watching 👀🖐🏾
