In June 2014, Chicago-based artist Amanda Williams gathered together friends, family, and community members to paint a series of houses in the south side of Chicago that had been slated for demolition.

Curator Sean Anderson reflects on Williams’s "Color(ed) Theory Suite," exploring the social and political consequences of color and how the brightly painted houses return forgotten sections of the neighborhood to vibrant life.
