Toyama has a long history of selling medicines, and it is said that the city became famous because of the production of glass as medicine bottles. The culmination of this history is the #ToyamaGlassArtMuseum , opened in 2015. The museum is housed in a complex called #TOYAMAKirari, and the building is amazing! It was designed by world-famous architect #KengoKuma. The atrium up to the 6th floor, made of cedar from Toyama prefecture, is really amazing and the sunlight coming through the ceiling and windows is so comfortable! There is a library and a bank in addition to the museum, and with wifi and a café, I would go there every day if it were in my neighborhood. The exterior of the building is also very stylish, made of glass, granite and aluminum. I'm sure it looks different depending on the weather and the time of day because it reflects the light!
