I was surprised at the scale of the pink carpet of cosmos planted in the rice paddies that stretched all the way across the road. I have seen many cosmos fields all over Japan, but I think this is the largest cosmos field I have ever seen! There were many scarecrows from Tokushima in the cosmos field, and it was interesting that you had to look carefully to figure out if they were tourists or scarecrows...!
