The sled push is an amazing unilateral lower limb exercise, focused around force application - through the quadriceps, hip flexors, calves and Achilles’ tendon.

With a previous ruptured Quadricep, Achilles’ tendon and x2 ankle breaks which have all needed reconstructive surgery, strengthening these areas is crucial. Performing this exercise slowly and for further distances is perfect for conditioning these areas and my lower body, ahead of my ultra marathon. Not only do my legs need to be strong, but they must also have a super high working capacity to push me through those hard miles

The sled is an ideal exercise for achillies tendon rehabilitation due to the movement pattern of the exercise, putting a high demand on the ankle joint and tendons, making them work singularly with every step.
