Video by @andrea_frazzetta | In celebration of Earth Month, I invite you to walk around one of the most incredible places I have ever visited: Dallol, Ethiopia, known as the Hill of the Spirits to the ethnic group the Afar. A land of geysers, crystal formations, and sulfurous springs in the Danakil Depression, the remote area is subject to the highest average temperatures on the planet, and it’s one of the most vulnerable places in the world. In these parts, it’s as if you can feel the Earth’s throbbing heart.

Earth Month reminds us how fragile and wonderful our planet is and how important it is to take care of it. To celebrate, try tending a garden, cleaning up litter in your community, or donating to environmental justice organizations.
