Illustrator Jason Sturgill took the "long way" to becoming a creative.

While in school for marketing, he had the opportunity to make posters for the different student organizations on campus; he realized he wanted to be doing creative work for a living, but "...didn’t know how to get from point A to point B." After working in agencies in non-creative capacities for years, then moving into design, he finally put pencil to paper—and hasn't stopped for the last 13 years.

Jason grew up thinking he "couldn't draw" (though from the looks of it, we're 99.9% sure that isn't true), and draws inspiration from the Portland illustration scene, language and documentaries (shout if you have any good recs.)
