Even if my favorite bird hasn’t learned to walk properly on snow, at least they look good doing it. This colony of gentoo penguins lives within Neko Harbor on the Antarctic Peninsula, one of the world’s most picturesque locations. To get there, I hopped aboard the National Geographic Resolution, an expedition ship. Surrounded by constantly calving glaciers and a bay of beautiful icebergs, these gentoo penguins have a simple and clever way to make paths through the falling snow.
