An elephant at a ceremony inside a temple in Kerala. Temple elephants are an important symbol and draw in followers.  10. Wasana, 53, is a famous and revered temple tusker at the Kataragama complex in Sri Lanka, which houses Buddhist and Hindu temples and a mosque.
