You can see the moment I realised I was being filmed. It's just a moment between Ada and I. 🥹❤️ I wasn't thinking about my body. About putting my best foot forward for the camera. About angels. Or body image. Or nice underwear. I was just lost in a moment. A beautifully imperfect moment with my baby girl. The perfect little human my body made. I've been thinking that I really don't 'hate' my body. The insecurities that were once there aren't there anymore. And I don't think necessarily because I've learnt to love each and every detail. But rather I've stopped focusing on it. Ive stopped zooming in on tiny details so much that I don't see the bigger and more beautiful picture. I've realised that it doesn't actually matter. I struggle with what to wear. I have zero idea what bra size I am. I don't feel my best, but that's more to do with tiredness and recovery. But I feel love and respect for my body, more so than I ever did. I don't need to get my 'old' body back, because it's the same body. The one who has done so much for me. Who made my babies. I think the secret to loving yourself, isn't about forcing yourself to love every part of yourself. But just being neutral about it. And remembering to zoom out and see the beautiful moments. Like the feeling of the waves splashing against your skin as you hold your baby in the sea for the first time. The feeling of the sun on your skin as you lie down outside. The moments of joy when you're playing with the baby as you get dressed in the moment. Because to me, that is where beauty lies. In the moments.
