Your thoughts on taking outdoor exercise? 💪🏼🍃 Personally for me, I love the peace and freedom that I find when immersing myself in nature. I find myself breathing deeper, standing taller and feeling so grounded yet inspired at the same time by the grace and enormity of interacting with Mother Nature. Outdoor exercise makes such a big difference to seasonal affective disorder (SAD), depression and anxiety as sunshine naturally increases our serotonin - a hormone that affects the mood. Exercise itself also produces endorphins, a feel-good hormone, that boost your mood and reduce pain; certainly in summer months there are many advantages to taking your exercise outdoors. I enjoy starting each day with a walk through the hills to get my heart pumping, fill my lungs with fresh air and wake up my body ready for the more intense activities to come. Our mental and physical health is priceless and the sooner we start treating it like the most precious thing that we own the more rewarding life becomes in every aspect.
