Thought I'd show you a realistic behind the scenes of a shoot for my upcoming Tu clothing edit. 📸🩷

You guys seem to like seeing behind the scenes and the photoshoots are definitely the most stressful juggle days - but also the best because I get to have both babies with me. 🙏

So firstly, there's so much planning that happens even before the day, which I do myself. Selecting the clothes, getting them on time, finding out Tu's timings, finding a location, and then finding a date that works for everyone who needs to be there!

Then there's the team who make it happen. It's such a team effort! 🫶

Having childcare - especially a nanny - is almost a dirty word and it honestly feels so backwards. I saw an article the other day about Molly Mae being shamed for MAYBE having one. I think what's telling is that SHE was shamed. Not her partner.

Mothers have been expected to do unpaid child rearing for years - a time before we were allowed jobs and also a time where one household income was enough to provide a decent life for one family.

Rara started with our family when Alf was still breastfeeding and refusing a bottle and I was unable to get my work done and be a good mum. She did 3 days a week and now she does 1 or 2 days. She's part of our family, as is her daughter. But the fact is, I wouldn't get lots of my work done without her and I don't get maternity leave. Nor do I want to take a career break.

Childcare is a privilege. 100%! One I'm acutely aware of. Not working is also a privilege. But the fact is: if you wouldn't shame a dad for going back to work and wouldn't ask him what his childcare set up is to make it happen: then you also shouldn't do it to a mother. It's not 1950.

And if you want to be angry at the cost of childcare and the fact SO many women can't afford to go back to work because of childcare costs - be angry at this government. Vote to support pay rises and subsidised childcare.

But leave the mum-shaming behind because it achieves nothing. Support mums who work, value mums who stay home. 🫶👊

Anyway, I am SO excited for this @tuclothing campaign to drop and hope you love seeing how much work goes into bringing it together.🩷🙏
