Since the age of 8, Kazuyo Kawamoto has been working in Kyo-kanoko shibori - the general term used for Kyoto’s tie-dyed fabric. Her specialty is honbitta-shibori, which requires the highest level of expertise. The beads she makes are called white eyes. The more the fabric has, the more sumptuous it is considered. 🧵🪡
