Especially since my group was randomly assigned to the Mishaya gorill family, who just had a newborn gorilla! He was about 10 days old when we were there! 😻 Also, this trek was amazing because it was only 4.5 hours total (with one of the hours spent observing the gorillas)…as opposed to last year when I got stuck in the 7 hour trek.. 🫣 Although this video looks serene, the trek through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is extreme, as there’s no paths and you have to climb up and down mountains that are thick with brush. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart! And yes, gorillas can be dangerous, but I’ve never heard of any incidents here with guests! All 28 of us on my group trip saw gorillas!
