Today in 1962, The Beach Boys released their debut album, Surfin’ Safari. During the sessions, Brian fought for, and won, the right to helm the production - an unprecedented move at the time. However, the official production credit went to Nick Venet. Brian wrote or co- wrote nine of it’s 12 tracks, which peaked at No. 32 on the album charts. Hits included the title track, “409” and “Surfin.’” What’s your favorite track?
