“As an Arab woman, I always try to challenge the conventional ways of representing our region in photography. In a context where our history is controlled by politicians and the media, it is necessary to listen to Palestinian voices documenting from a local point of view,” writes Beirut-based Boulos.

Abu Elouf, Rohmi and Hammad are grantees of the @arabdocphotography program, a joint initiative of @magnumfoundation, @afac.fund and @princeclausfund.
