The tipi was the primary residence of the Native American nomadic tribes of the Great Plains. Being warm in winter, cool in summer, fast from rain and pretty darn mobile the tipi was well adapted to life following the mighty buffalo. The Lakota translates roughly to "dwelling". Thanksgiving is something other than parades, football, shopping and feasting. It is a chance to reflect on who we are and our place amongst fellow humans. We are all in this together. Help if you can. Respect because it's right. Share as it comes back to you. Think about the next 7 generations - it is their future we play with. Give thanks and believe in peace.
